Hosting on Kuneo

Looking to share your passion and host travelers? Here is everything you need to know before publishing your experience.

Creating your experience

Anyone of legal age who has a space to share and, above all, the desire to share their world!

Ready to start your journey? Visit our dedicated guide: Become a host on Kuneo. You'll find everything you need to get your experience live.

This is a special moment to tell your story. You start by completing your profile, then you describe your world: the setting where you welcome travelers, the life experiences you offer to share, and your availability.

Once your listing is submitted, the Kuneo Team reviews it to help you make it shine. It will go live as soon as we’ve validated it together.

Ready to jump in? You can start creating your experience here.

To help travelers picture themselves in their future stay, we recommend being as concrete as possible when creating your listing:

  • Your welcome: A sincere description of the accommodation and bright photos that make you want to drop your bags and stay.
  • Your world: What drives your daily life, your passions, and what you can't wait to share with your guests.
  • Your house rules: Your specific details regarding children, pets, and your availability.

The key? The more authentic you are in your description, the more you will naturally attract travelers who share your values and your vision of travel.

No, because at Kuneo, we believe the most beautiful connections take time to grow. Our experiences are designed as immersive stays where hosting in your home is the key.

The activities you offer enrich these shared moments, but they are not sold separately. The goal is truly to open your doors and share your daily life from the inside.

Earnings & Commissions

You are completely free to set the price of your accommodation.

Your pricing should primarily reflect the accommodation itself, its surroundings, its location, and the hosting conditions you wish to offer.

The spirit of Kuneo is also built around meeting people, sharing, and discovering local everyday life, but these moments remain entirely spontaneous and depend on everyone’s availability and willingness.

Kuneo does not impose any pricing and remains by your side to help you find a fair and consistent price point.

Transparency is at the heart of our approach. To run the platform and secure your transactions, we take a 10% commission on the price you’ve set for your stay.

This contribution is essential to allow us to:

  • Connect you with travelers who share your worldview.
  • Secure your transactions and offer help through our support team if needed.
  • Give real visibility to your world so you can focus on what matters most: hosting.

Good to know: On the traveler’s side, a 10% service fee is also added to the price you’ve set. This is what allows us, all together, to grow this community built on sharing and trust.

Trust is the foundation, but security is essential. Your payment is automatically triggered 24 hours after the stay ends.

This short delay allows us to verify that everything went smoothly and to handle any unforeseen issues with peace of mind. Once the payment is triggered, the money is deposited into the bank account you registered when you signed up.

Depending on your bank, the transfer usually shows up in your account within 1 to 3 business days.

As an independent host, you are fully responsible for your activity. It is up to you to declare the income generated on Kuneo, in accordance with the regulations of your country.

To make your life easier (because we know paperwork isn't the fun part), Kuneo will provide a clear summary of all your transactions. A great helping hand for your tax returns!

Safety & Responsibility

Absolutely. You remain completely free to accept or decline a request if it doesn't seem to fit your schedule or your hosting environment.

Our aim is a great experience for both sides. If the fit doesn't feel right, it's okay to skip this one and wait for someone who is perfectly aligned with your universe.

Yes, and that’s exactly what makes your hosting so valuable! As an independent host, you are the conductor of the experience you offer.

Kuneo acts as a bridge to connect you with travelers, but we don’t step in for the organization. It’s your world, your setting, and your way of hosting that create the magic of the stay.

For your peace of mind, it is highly recommended to have a liability insurance policy tailored to your hosting activity.

Depending on what you offer, additional insurance might be required. While Kuneo can offer some guidance, it remains each host’s responsibility to make sure their coverage is well-suited to their specific plans.

Travel is a human adventure, and sometimes, little hiccups can happen. In such cases, the best solution is to speak directly and openly with your guest to find common ground.

If you can't reach an agreement, The Kuneo Team can intervene as a mediator. We’re here to help you find a constructive way forward.

Gestion & organisation

You decide when you want to open your doors. By default, your calendar shows your availability, but you remain free to block any dates of your choice to suit your personal schedule.

You’re free to open or block dates anytime, with a few clicks, no matter the reason. Keeping your calendar current ensures you only get the right requests: you stay completely in charge of your agenda.

Absolutely, and we actually encourage it! As soon as a traveler sends you a booking request, the messaging feature opens up.

This allows you to get to know each other, discuss the immersion, and make sure your expectations are aligned before you accept the request. At Kuneo, we always prioritize the human connection and "good vibes".

You can access all your ongoing chats in your Kuneo inbox.

Of course. Freedom is a core value for us. You can pause your experience whenever you need a break, or modify it at any time from your host hub.

Should you decide to move on, you can ask for your profile to be removed. We'd hate to say goodbye, but you’re the one in charge.

When you receive a request, don’t keep your future guest waiting too long: you have 5 days to accept or decline.

Once this time is up, the request will expire. It’s always best to reply quickly, even if you can’t host, to keep up the spirit of respect and kindness our community values.

Yes, absolutely! You can synchronize your Kuneo calendar with other platforms or your channel manager to avoid double bookings. To do this, we use iCal links, which allow your availability to update automatically in real time.

This synchronization can only be set up once your listing is published

If you need help with the setup or finding your link, you can contact Team Kuneo.

Tourist tax

The tourist tax is a small contribution that varies depending on your local community. Some departments or regions also add a supplemental tax.

It is a simple local calculation based on:

  • Your local community and its specific rates.
  • Your accommodation (type and classification).
  • The number of travelers..
  • The length of the stay.

The Kuneo tip: Check the total rate on the government website and enter it in the "Tourist tax" field of your listing.

No, we take care of it for you!

Kuneo collects the tourist tax for every booking made by travelers. Then, we pay it directly to the local communities.

This saves you time so you can focus on what matters most: preparing an unforgettable moment.
